Deleting a resource permanently destroys all associated infrastructure and data.
This action is irreversible. All workspaces, data, and configuration within the resource are permanently deleted.
Who can delete
Only organization owners can delete a resource. Organization members do not have access to the delete action.
How to delete
- Go to the resource detail page
- Click the Delete button in the header
- A confirmation dialog appears — review what will be destroyed
- Confirm the deletion
What gets destroyed
When you delete a resource, CodeWire removes:
- The Coder application and all its workspaces
- The database
- The isolated environment
- The TLS certificate
- The DNS record
- All organization memberships for this resource
Status transitions
After confirming deletion:
Running → Deleting → Deleted
The resource enters Deleting state while the infrastructure is torn down, then moves to Deleted once cleanup is complete.
Recovering a deleted resource
Deleted resources cannot be recovered. If you need the same subdomain, you can create a new resource with it after the old one is fully deleted.
