When someone invites you to their Codespace organization, you’ll receive an email with a link to accept.
Accepting an invitation
- Click the invitation link in your email
- The acceptance page shows:
- The organization name
- Your assigned role
- Who invited you
- Click Accept Invitation
- You’re redirected to the organization dashboard
Account requirements
Already have a Codespace account
If you’re signed in with the matching email, you can accept immediately.
If you’re signed in with a different email, you’ll see a mismatch warning. Sign out and sign back in with the correct email to accept.
New to Codespace
If you don’t have an account yet:
- Click the link to Sign up
- Create your account using the same email the invitation was sent to
- Verify your email
- Return to the invitation link and accept
You must use the same email address the invitation was sent to. Accepting with a different email is not supported.
After accepting
Once you accept, you’ll appear as a member in the organization’s member list. You can:
- View the organization dashboard
- Create and manage your own workspaces
- Access the Coder dashboard at the resource domain
