CodeWire uses per-resource billing at the organization level. Each resource in your organization has its own subscription and plan.

Seat pricing
In addition to resource plans, organizations are charged $18 per developer per month for workspace usage.
Resource usage and overages
Each resource tracks CPU, memory, and storage usage. If you exceed your plan’s included resources, overage charges apply:

Free trial
Your first Coder resource includes a 14-day free trial. During the trial:
- Full access to all plan features
- No credit card required to start
- Usage tracking is active (so you can see your patterns)
When the trial expires, your resource is suspended (scaled to zero). Add a payment method and subscribe to resume.
Managing your subscription
View billing
- Navigate to your organization
- Click Billing in the organization header
- View active subscriptions, usage, and invoice history
Add or change payment method
- Go to Billing → Manage Payment
- You’ll be redirected to the Stripe customer portal
- Update your card or payment method
View invoices
- Go to Billing → Invoices
- View and download past invoices
Cancel a subscription
- Go to the resource’s detail page
- Navigate to billing settings
- Cancel the subscription
Cancelling a subscription will suspend the resource. Your data (workspaces, templates, users) is preserved, but the Coder instance becomes inaccessible until you resubscribe.
