# Invite members

> Add members to your organization

Any organization member can invite others to join their organization via email.

## Send an invitation

1. Go to your organization detail page
2. Click **Settings**
3. Under **Members**, enter the person's email address
4. Click **Invite**

The invitee receives an email with a link to join your organization.

## Pending invitations

After sending an invitation, it appears in the **Pending Invitations** list with:

* The email address
* When the invitation expires

Invitations expire after a set period. If an invitation expires, you can send a new one.

## Revoke an invitation

If you need to cancel a pending invitation before it's accepted:

1. Go to organization **Settings** → **Members**
2. Find the invitation in the **Pending Invitations** list
3. Click **Revoke**

The invitation link becomes invalid immediately.

## What the invitee sees

When someone clicks the invitation link:

* If they already have a CodeWire account, they can accept directly
* If they don't have an account, they'll be prompted to sign up first
* The invitation page shows your organization name, the assigned role, and who sent the invite

  The invitee must sign in with the same email address the invitation was sent to. Signing in with a different email will show a mismatch warning.
