# Accept an invitation

> Join an organization via invitation link

When someone invites you to their CodeWire organization, you'll receive an email with a link to accept.

## Accepting an invitation

1. Click the invitation link in your email
2. The acceptance page shows:
   * The organization name
   * Your assigned role
   * Who invited you
3. Click **Accept Invitation**
4. You're redirected to the organization dashboard

## Account requirements

### Already have a CodeWire account

If you're signed in with the matching email, you can accept immediately.

If you're signed in with a **different email**, you'll see a mismatch warning. Sign out and sign back in with the correct email to accept.

### New to CodeWire

If you don't have an account yet:

1. Click the link to **Sign up**
2. Create your account using the same email the invitation was sent to
3. Verify your email
4. Return to the invitation link and accept

  You must use the same email address the invitation was sent to. Accepting with a different email is not supported.
</Warning>

## After accepting

Once you accept, you'll appear as a member in the organization's member list. You can:

* View the organization dashboard
* Create and manage your own workspaces
* Access the Coder dashboard at the resource domain
