# Sign in

> Log in to your CodeWire account

## Email and password

1. Go to [codewire.sh/login](https://codewire.sh/login)
2. Enter your email and password
3. Click **Sign in**

## Two-factor authentication

If you've [enabled 2FA](/settings/security), you'll be prompted for a verification code after entering your password.

* Enter the **6-digit code** from your authenticator app, or
* Switch to **backup code** mode and enter one of your 10-digit backup codes

<Tip>
  Backup codes are single-use. After using one, it cannot be used again.

## Forgot your password?

1. On the login page, click **Forgot password?**
2. Enter your email address
3. Check your inbox for a reset link
4. Click the link and set a new password (same 12-character minimum applies)

<Note>
  The reset link expires after a limited time. If it's expired, request a new one.
</Note>

## Account lockout

After too many failed login attempts, your account is temporarily locked for security. Wait a few minutes and try again, or reset your password.
